About Danny

Danny Omokha is a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and a Certified Strength and Conditioning trainer through the YMCA of the USA. He has worked with the young, middle-aged and elderly and has addressed a multitude of health and fitness needs from weight loss, strength training and body sculpt to muscle gain, range of motion restoration and myofascial release. He holds certifications in both the TRX Suspension Trainer and Rip Trainer and has earned continuing education credits through IDEA Health and Fitness Association, Exercise ETC and Pregnancy and Postpartum training through Annette Lang Education. ​

Danny is originally from Nigeria but grew up with his family in New York City. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from the State University of New York – College at Brockport where he took related courses in physical fitness and health, anatomy and physiology, exercise physiology, advanced weight training and kinesiology to name a few. He has worked for several gyms and health clubs in New York City including his very first personal trainer job at the Chinatown YMCA in 2005, Synergy, Lucille Roberts and currently the New York Health & Racquet Club.​

An avid, theoretical-based and long-time fitness enthusiast, Danny’s training methods and exercise programs are based on science and research and are tailored to individual client’s needs. He accomplishes this by applying the fundamentals of resistance training, metabolic and conditioning training and the concept of core activation. He also has an unparalleled passion for powerlifting and bodybuilding training and is an advocate of the BIG four: Squat, Overhead Press, Deadlift and Bench Press. From foam rolling to performing a squat to doing mountain climbers, Danny’s sessions address virtually every aspect of health and fitness.

When he’s not training clients or himself, Danny enjoys watching sports and movies, reading, traveling and spending time with his family. He takes great pride in his job and the safety and upward progression of his clients are top priorities.
